由吴美箬执导,国大中文戏剧社(简称国大爪吗)呈现的《花开丁香落》融合了国大电子音乐实验室带来的生动音景,为观众带来引人入胜的全新戏剧体验。本剧采用演员围绕观众的独特形式,探讨了对自我的感知是如何不可避免地被生命中的他人塑造的。

Following the sudden death of popular actress Bai Hua, her closest companions are left reeling. Forced to confront their deepest insecurities by this sudden loss, their lives become a spiral of questions and self-doubt. Amidst this emotional turmoil, however, the chance to face their most flawed and vulnerable selves may pave the way for unintended self-discovery.
Directed by Judy Ngo, Wilting White Lilac by NUS Chinese Drama is an engaging theatrical experience featuring vivid soundscapes by NUS Electronic Music Lab. Uniquely staged with performers encircling the audience, this production explores how our sense of self is inevitably shaped by those around us.

NUS Chinese Drama
Formed in 2003, NUS Chinese Drama strives to create performances that resonate with human emotions and experiences as well as provoke critical thinking.
Focusing on original works that examine various social issues, NUS Chinese Drama has experimented with various genres of theatre. The group possesses a wide repertoire, which includes forum theatre with Funeral (2012), a play that shed light on issues regarding traditional funeral rites, and Just A Bad Day (2014), which revolved around the theme of violence against women.
Under the guidance of Principal Tutor Judy Ngo, NUS Chinese Drama aims to nurture actors who are committed to learning how to express themselves through theatre and developing a holistic experience of theatre for both themselves and their audience.
Judy Ngo Mui Leok
Director
Judy Ngo is the Artistic Director of 1N THE ACT which focuses on education through drama. She started teaching in 2000 and often works with schools as a CCA instructor, drama instructor and Artist-In-School. She has over 25 years of experience in acting, teaching and directing theatre and has worked with many theatre companies in Singapore, including The Theatre Practice, W!ld Rice, The Necessary Stage and Drama Box.
Judy believes in constant training and has attended courses conducted by masters such as David Diamond, Philippe Gaulier, Anne Bogart, Keith Johnstone and Danny Yung. Judy firmly believes that theatre should be about life and that life should be lived.
NUS Electronic Music Lab
The NUS Electronic Music Lab (EML) is a vibrant collective of students dedicated to composing, producing, and performing original electronic music since 1981. EML embraces a wide array of genres, from heavy metal and hip-hop to euphoric trance and dark synth, encouraging members to explore and blend styles freely. The group not only provides opportunities for networking and showcasing their work but also focuses on teaching music production skills. With the help of their mentors Benjamin Ang and Tan E-Reng/Falling Islands, they aim to foster the growth of the local electronic music scene.
