Dance of Destiny by Viva LatiNUS unravels the intertwining paths of various individuals, each on a quest to uncover their passion and purpose. Melding storytelling with the evocative elegance of Latin styles, dancers illustrate the delicate balance between choice, chance, and fate through movement and expression.
The performance will showcase a variety of Latin dance styles - the fiery intensity of paso doble and samba, the playful energy of cha-cha and jive, and the soulful expression of rumba. Featuring special collaborations with NUS Ballroom and NUS Resonance, and performances by SIT Dance Sport Academy and NTU Dance Sport Academy, Dance of Destiny is certain to delight and inspire.
Late Seating Policy
Latecomers cannot be admitted until an appropriate break in the show. For shows without an intermission, latecomers may risk being denied entry if there is no appropriate break in the show.
Admission of Children
All children require a purchased ticket for entry. As a courtesy to other audience members, infant in arms ad prams, and children below six years of age cannot be admitted for ticketed shows.
Photography, Audio and Video Recording
Photography and all manner of unauthorised audio and video recording are strictly prohibited.

Viva LatiNUS
The passion! The fire! The energy!
Established in 2009. Viva LatiNUS specialises in five Latin styles: Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble and is known for their captivating high-energy shows that light up any stage.
Viva LatiNUS actively performs in campus events like open houses, and esteemed ceremonies like the NUS Achievement Awards. The group also steadily supports members’ participation in DanceSport competitions, student choreographies and collaborations. In addition, Viva LatiNUS is also popular with external audiences, having been invited to grace several corporate functions and media events, such as the 2016 President Star Charity Awards.
NUS Ballroom
From the sweeping waltz to the exhilarating quickstep, NUS Ballroom trains dancers in professional Standard Ballroom. As a leading competitive dance group in Singapore, the group equips their members with confidence, skill and technique to prepare them for various competitions and outstanding performances.
NUS Resonance
Formed in 2001, NUS Resonance is NUS’ pioneer and premier collegiate a cappella group, made up of people bound by a common love for singing. Members come from diverse musical backgrounds, and they sing just about anything — from contemporary pop to choral music, alternative rock to swing, and even the occasional techno tune.
NUS Resonance continually strives towards promoting a greater awareness of a cappella music both within and outside of campus. To date, their most notable achievements include securing the top position in the Singapore National A Cappella Championships (2006 – 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014, & 2015), and their annual concert, Vocal Obsession. Internationally, they have also won A Cappella competitions in Korea and Taiwan, most recently clinching the Gold Award at the 2016 International Kodaly A Cappella Festival in Seoul, South Korea.
SIT Dance Sport Academy
SIT Dancesport is a Latin dance Club featuring Cha-Cha, Jive, Samba, Rumba and Paso Doblé taught by Dancer’s Dream Studios’ Instructors. Established in 2016, the club has garnered active participation from students and alumnus. The club encourages an energetic environment for dancers of all skill levels to learn, relearn and refine their skills and express creativity. SIT Dancesport often participates in performances, productions and competitions, with passionate latin dancers.
NTU Dance Sport Academy
DSA is a club for everyone passionate about DanceSport. Led by the warm yet fun guidance of instructor Rosario Privitera from Aquilia Dance Academy, their dancers have the opportunity to venture from social dancing to event performances and even advancing to competitive DanceSport. This journey provides invaluable experiences performing for greater and larger audiences, all while enjoying the art of dance
